Congratulations to the CT Alumnae Association President, Kaitlyn Fenner, who has received a scholarship from Nationals for her outstanding work in the classroom as well as in sorority. Only a handful of scholarships were given out all across the country so we are proud to say that Kaitlyn earned one of them!
This past weekend, the CT Alumnae Association hosted its first Annual Alumnae BBQ for alumnae in Connecticut. This was a great opportunity for women to get to know each other and get to learn about the association. Special thanks to the Association's VPP, Kelly Schneider for hosting such a great event!
This past weekend, members of the CT Alumnae Association teamed up with the CT Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to participate in the Great Strides Walk. Not only was the day filled with fun, food, raffles and amazing weather, but the Association was part of an amazing feat; the walk raised almost $55,000!!!
Friday May 7th kicked off SCSU's annual Relay for Life Event and the CT Alumnae Association was there to support. This Saturday, active sisters and alumnae came together to honor the past 20 years that Delta Phi Epsilon has been on SCSU's campus. The night was memorable for all with food, dancing, speakers and a slide show to help commemorate how far we've come and how far we are going to go.
Also at the event, Alumni Association President, Kaitlyn Fenner, shared alumnae experiences with the chapter and sent a strong message to all. Interested in reading Kaitlyn's speech? Click read more to check it out! "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
- Martin Luther King, Jr Today, on Martin Luther King Day, DPhiE alumnae collected nonperishable goods, gently used clothing, toiletries and personal items to donate to the people of Haiti. Realizing how lucky everyone in our country is, the sisters wanted to give back and utilize all that we are fortunate enough to have to help those that are left with nothing due to the earthquake in Haiti. Want to donate? Please contact President Kaitlyn Fenner. |
