Alpha Pi alumnae Shelby Massaro and her fiancee Gary took a trip to Florida this week for more than the sun and surf; the two got married December 29th on Sanibel Island. This beautiful couple deserves the best and the association would like to congratulate them!

2009 brought about the founding of the CT Alumnae Association and we are even more excited about what 2010 will bring. In the next year the CT Alumnae are celebrating new jobs, weddings, philanthropies and the joys of sisterhood; what are you celebrating? Alumnae Association member Stephanie Itle-Clark has just an article titled "Ending the Ewww Factor" published in The Packrat, Winter 2009. The article showcases tips for ending the bias against the non-furry or traditional animal through education. This article showcases Stephanie's love of animals and education and is just another way that our sisters continue to make strides in our community. Check out the article here. On Sunday, November 22nd CT Alumnae and active sisters joined together to celebrate the chartering of the CT Alumnae Association. Women reconnected and bonded over dinner and learned more about not only the Association, but each other. This marks the first time that Both CT Chapters and alumnae have been able to spend time together and it showcased the ability of the Assocation to bring CT Deephers together.
On Saturday, November 7th, 3 members of the CT Alumnae Association supported UNH's Deepher Dude pageant by acting as judges. Kaitlyn Fenner, Alison Wagner and Stephanie Guerrera had a great time enjoying the formal wear, swim wear, deepher wear, talent and question and answer portions of the event and ultimately helped crown the 2009 Deepher Dude, Alex Woron!
On Sunday, October 25th the CT Alumnae Association participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in New Haven, CT. As a team, the woman donated over $370.00 to breast cancer research!! Congratulations are in order for Jen and AJ Grivalsky, as the two wed on October 24, 2009. This Greek couple shared their special day with sisters and brothers alike and are now headed to a honeymoon in Aruba. Congratulations!! The CT Alumnae Association has been featured on dphie.org!
